Born out of a family's grief following the death of their teenage son ‘Robbie’, parents Rudolph and Antoinette de Villiers started a fundraising and education organization in their son's name. With a few volunteers and a tiny budget, they took on the daunting task of finding a cure for ‘this hopeless disease that was 100% fatal.’ Driven by the de Villiers' nearly boundless belief that blood cancers were indeed curable, The Foundation grew steadily, opening its first chapters in the New York City area. The organization was renamed The Leukemia Society of America in the 1960s to communicate a broad, national reach. Today, there are over 56 chapters of dedicated volunteers working tirelessly to help achieve our mission.
GRIN Esports is a charity driven organization first and foremost. We do small charity drives throughout the year in between the planning of our larger annual events with charities like Able Gamers, The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and more! Currently we have raised over $44,500 for charities through our efforts and aim to continue to push to make event more of a difference.
